Travelog: Aistear d'Eireann

Assalamualaikum, in the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,
All praise to Allah, Supreme Ruler of the world, and salawah upon the Last Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

warning: this holiday of mine is very long and compact with words. those who dare to take up the challenge may do so at your own risk. :P

I love holiday, especially after a long series of academic week, where students were bombarded with lots of bomb-like classes and assignment-nuke. My holiday began with my friend from Belfast, who I haven't met for more than half a year, decided to spend few days of her school break in London. It was 5 days of excitement where we chatted and shared opinions about various things, besides touring the europe's famous city. Eventhough it was quite tiring to go almost every single places in the city in 5 days, but having a good old friend in companion, evaporated all those fatigue. It was worth it. Thanks and please come again will you. :)

Then, i went to Manchester, to meet my big cool ex-schoolmate, Ghazali. He's studying economic and finance in University of Manchester. Despite of his fever, he used every bit of strength possess, to show me around Manchester, especially my favourite place, Old Trafford Theatre of Dreams. It was fun to go the museum and stadium tour as it really worth it and acquire good view. alhamdulillah, praise and thanks to Him for giving me this chance. :)

Theatre of Dreams

After that, my friend and I took a flight to Dublin. We stayed at my friend's friend's house, where a luxury and warm place secured our night. Wie, Moja, Syed, Syamim, and many more. They welcome and treat us with various fabulous delicious meal. We also spent the nights with horror movies which suprisingly able to make some of us scream. Haha. Not very manly I supposed. :P I met very awesome friends over here. They are studying medicine in University of Dublin. Also, I met my former 4 years ex-classmate, a semashurian, Afif Ismail. It was great to play rugby with you guys. :D

While staying in Dublin, we went to St. Stephen's Park, located in the city. The flowers over there are very beautiful and heart-warming. Besides, we went to Glendalough. It was very beautiful scenary and extra-ordinary calmful. The lake and nature, really peaceful, far away from the busyness of London. We stopped at Arklow to see Irelands oldest weaving mill. Great experience I got over there in dublin.

Then, we went to Cork. Cork is located at the south of dublin, having 3 hours of journey by bus. Over there, I met my beloved ex-schoolmate as well, Hijaz. He was delighted to greet us. We started our tour de cork, by going to the university and park around the student accomodation. The university is very nice and accessible by walking. I had a few good pictures of beautiful flowers around cork as well.  On our first night, we had our dinner and usrah. The content was very good and it's not really stressful as some person claimed. We had a santai group discussion and sharing knowledge. The usrah was led by my acquaintance, Amirul Asyrof, aka Bopek, joined with Emir and Ijam. I also met ammar and Hijaz's roommate.

Garden in UCC

The next day, Hijaz brought us to Kinsale, a town by the sea. The town too, aren't busy compared to UK, which is good for city getaway. We walked to some fort by the sea, and to our suprised, we got free for entrance as it is the first wednesday of the month. Great timing. We spent our afternoon enjoying the awesome scenery which hardly found in London. Oh yeah, our tour guide was Aiman, who came here several times. Thanks Aiman for the free tour. :)

relaxing moments. may this ukhuwah stay till jannah. :)

My next stop is Belfast, back to the part of UK. 6 hours journey really worthed it as I met my former classmates, Arif, Fikri and Anis. We had a great dinner that night. The very next morning, Arif lent me a bicycle to round a few part of Belfast. We also spend about 3 hours to climb a hill, Cave Hill which might be over 500 m above sea level. The view was great and the experience and sweat really worth it. Thanks Arif for showing me around Belfast. Then, we went to my friend's house for usrah. There, I met my former BTN groupmate, Hafiz Tarmizi. We joined the usrah and got really good food. Over here, I met a few doctors to be, such as 'Afif, Luqman, Boiler, Abbas & lain2. Engineers and doctors in the house. Cool. :P

On my last day in Ireland, I take a flight back from Dublin to Manchester. Then, I spend my next day with Syed Hilmi, before I went to Leeds, to meet few of my friends over there, Syahin and Asyraf. At leeds, I met my TDP batchmate, before they board the train to Sheffield. That night, we celebrate Amirah's birthday at Nandos. I met Afif again, Zuhdi and Akmal. We played FIFA until late night and spent the next day wondering around Leeds. Thanks Afif, for being a great driver, Zuhdi & Syahin for sending me to train station.

It was an awesome moment to spend time with future doctors & engineers, as well as accountant. Ghazali, thanks so much for spending your holiday with me, and withstand my sillyness. I know I annoyed you for stealing your bed, and thanks again for the tour. :D

Wie, Moja, Syamim, Syed, thanks for all your kindness and hospitality. It was fun to watch horror movie together. The ikan keli was very delicious, after few months of not eating it. :D

Keep calm and continue breathing.

Assalamualaikum, in the name of Allah, the Most Precious, the Most Merciful,
All praise to Him, the Supreme Ruler of the world, and Salawah upon Prophet Muhammad PBUH.

I still remember, the day I went to my school, a week before I came here. I met my former teachers, who gave me a lot advices and enthusiastic words. And before I left, this one teacher advised me not to change the current me. Which i think she asked me to retain the originality of what a muslim should be. And guess what I replied to her:

"I will be someone better. Insya-Allah."

After about 4 months, I still don't really sure, am I becoming better or less? I totally confused, to what extend have I improved after months and days being in foreign country. There was a blog post of mine, where I pledged to myself, to promote a better perception of Islam to the western civilization. Yet, I am consumed in my disability to project myself towards my goal. I know that whoever help this religion, will be helped. In His will.

I hope I'll have better opportunity in future. Illaliqa. Wassalam.

Keep calm and take a moment to reminisce the moment He bless you with life.

wait, is it 4 months already? time was running so fast maaa.

Bring out the Hero in You...

Assalamualaikum, in the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,
All praise to Allah, the Supreme Ruler of the World, and Salawah upon Prophet Muhammad PBUH.

I'm very sure we had been through hard times. Either in terms of financial disaster, supressed workload, lonely accumulate and stuff, we had been there. It's a lie, if we never been there even at once. Suprisingly, we managed to survive the wall, or stronghold of disaster, which kept emerging from nowhere, just to take us down, to degrade us to earth. Let's walk back our memory lane for a moment, that hard time, we wished we never even done this and that, and some of us even wished we never born to this so-called unfair and cruel world.

"Verily, We have created man into toil and struggle. Thinks he, that none has power over him? He may say (boastfully): 'Wealth have I squandered in abundance!' Thinks he that none beholds him?"

But this ayat doesn't end here,

"Have We not made for him a pair of eyes? And a tongue, and a pair of lips? And shown him the two highways? But he has made no haste on the path that is steep. And what will explain to you the path that is steep?"

(90:4-12)

Eventhough you are at your lowest, there are always people who much more unfortunate than you are. Orphans, homeless, dying patients, and the list goes on. We will be unsatisfied for what we have, because we are humans. That's because we usually look up for those who are wealthy. Let's take this moment, to shift your head, to look upon those who below you, those less fortunate people than you are. That way, we will be more grateful. Watch this video. It will take a while, but the message are outstanding.

saw this one from my friend's post. people nowadays can be so mean. T_T

I always met those beggars, who doesn't has enough money to eat much less place to stay. I did what I capable of, to my strength extends. We sometimes can be a hero, be it giving food for homeless, donate the unfortunate poor kids for education, research for cancer cause and many more. Though our effort is small, but we do work for a change, hope for the best and changed their future.

Let us be an unsung hero, rather than doing nothing and just watch. Our effort is seen by Allah, and count for later on.

"O Allah, for everything I did, make me humble, and bring my small effort a big change, as I hope to create a better future."

I hope want to be a hero without any costume. :)

Travelog Winter 2012: Espana Viaje...

Assalamualaikum, dengan nama Allah yang Maha Pemurah lagi Maha Mengasihani,
Segala Puji bagi-Nya, Tuhan Sekalian Alam, dan junjungan besar buat Nabi Muhammad SAW.

Alhamdulillah, masih diberi kekuatan untuk menulis. Setelah sekian lamanya menyepi dek kemalasan+assingment yg berlonggok2+bz bz bz. Sebelum terlambat (memang dah terlambat pun), sy ingin mengucapkan selamat tahun baru 2013. Heh.

Ok, sebenarnye berita ni dah basi (bak kate mek ah). Tapi still nak update gak, sebab takde cerita lain dah. haha.

Gaudi ni seorang architect terkenal waktu zaman 90-an. Dia bina bangunan berdasarkan pemerhatiannya pada alam semula jadi. Bentuk daun, siput, dan sebagainya. Antara hasil binaan beliau adalah Sagrada Familia. :)

sagrada familia dijangka dalam proses penaik tarafan sehingga 20-30 tahun lagi. Tapi, still dibuka untuk tourism.

plaza espanas. seperti istana, tegak berdiri megah.

well, that's it. not really much of a talk, you can visit the album on fb. don't forget to click 'like'. haha. promote habis. insya-Allah trip lepas ni tak tau lagi di mana. Harap2 tempat yang dapat ibrah dan barakah drpd Allah. Berjalan bukan sahaja utk melepaskan stress, tapi untuk menimba ilmu dan pengajaran. Sekian.

Trimas. Assalamualaikum.

Don't Give Up On God...

Assalamualaikum, in the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,
All praise to Him, the one and only God, and salawah upon Prophet Muhammad PBUH.

I fancy to travel, going new places, journey through countless miles, meeting new people, storming outrages experiences and many more. From my journey, I learnt countless new knowledge, either academic or living skills. Besides, by watching people and environment, I also got not only knowledge, but also a reminder, for preventing me from walking the wrong way and remind me why I was given this opportunity, and not any anyone else.

"yep, this world of Yours is truly vast, and the knowledge You pour upon us is beyond comparable."

I would love to meet my old friends in this new world, where we will share our experiences, exchange various story, well, because here and there are different. Some of them fully take the benefit of new experiences to its fully toll, by becoming a better person, but err, some of them are at the edge of the cliff, by plunging themselves to darkness.

I personally think this is one of the challenges living here in this strange world. Nobody will supervise us, remind us to do this and warned us not to do that. Not to pray, drink, party and others are common things happened to those who just came here. We are humans, and tend to forget who we really are. Sadly, I just can't change anything, but to remind not to ensure. The results will always be from Him.

"Whoever ignores My guidance will live a woeful live and will be brought in Our presence blind on the Day of Judgment." (20:124)

Some people will lose their faith to their religious, due to certain hardship, and nobody was there to help them from straying. They forgot that Allah will always be there with those who patience and seeks His help. This is also a reminder for me, as a way of Him to show His kindness, not to let me follow the path of those ignorance. I will pray for the best and hope that this iman will remain strong and solid. Insya-Allah. :)

"Don't give up Him, He will never betray you. His promised is absolute and His plan is the best."
